Yarntini Hearts Fig & Plum, and Other Thank-Yous

It seems I've been one lucky blogger lately. Part of the fun of having a knitting group is, it seems, that it's always someone's birthday (sometimes it's yours, too!). Last night I got a birthday treat from The Spiders, who got me a very thoughtful (and useful!) prezzie and went out to cocktails with me after knitting to celebrate! Thanks, ladies!

And thanks to everyone who commented on Thursday to wish me happy 29th. . . it made the day a whole lot special :-)

And wait 'til you get a load of this - check it:

Yarntini Fig and Plum Colorway 003

It's my very own Yarntini colorway! The fabulous Jessie of Yarntini heard me feeling sorry for myself a while back about not having any colorways of trendy self-striping sock yarn named after Fig & Plum. So she went out and made one. Isn't it fantastic? Of course, I'm terribly out of the loop when it comes to new developments in yarnland, and was not aware that Jessie's been offering this colorway for a while now. So go out and get some, and make yourself some F&P socks why dontchya?

Thanks so much, Jessie!

Love the colorway (though hate the term "colorway" and have been trying to come up with something preferable for a while). You have definitely arrived when you have yarn named after you.

You really are one luck blogger - that is one super-cool colorway to have named after you. Glad you had fun with the cocktails :)

The shawls for the Amish is such a thoughtful idea.

I love the fig & plum colorway! So beautiful! I tried to find it yesterday on her etsy shop or at Pureknits but it's not available! I hope she makes it available soon!

Wow, that is a fabulous colorway. If that were mine, I'd be tempted to just keep it like that as a decoration - so bright!

Did I say "de-lurking"? I meant, "commenting again, as I have recently." My apologies for the lapse in consciousness.

Oh, it's such a shame about your new pesky job thingie.
It's clearly distracting you from your higher purpose; entertaining blog updates.
