Flickrs of Brilliance

Cutie cute cute cute! These kitten mittens are the kind of cute that makes me want to squeeze something cute almost to the point of violence.

And while we're on the subject of mittens, don't you wish you were as awesome (maybe you already are) as the person who made this rainbow-hued Nordic Mittens? In addition to your awesomeness, you would also need to acquire the patience of an ancient mountain to weave in all those ends.

How 'bout a culinary flickr of brilliance? Not Martha, reigning queen of gross and/or witty Halloween fare, whipped up what seems to be a mere test batch of these pumpkin cupcakes with cream cheese spiders perched atop.

I wish you hadn't even linked to ends that need weaving. That almost made me sick to my stomach. An ignorance is bliss situation, surely.

My mittens are famous! Wow! You just made my magnificently sucky weekend so much better. :-D

The ends got woven in. I was able to do it in just a few sittings, as I've been sick, and the fever made me strangely patient. Thanks to the advice of some wonderful knitters who read my blog, I'm trying to knit in the ends as I go for the second mitten. So I may not have to weave in all those ends the second time around.

And yeah, those kitten mittens are so very cute! Plus, kitten mitten rhymes, which triples the cute factor. And I love the spider cupcakes, too. We have a GINORMOUS spider living in our window frame (on the outside side, thank goodness) that I'm somewhat obsessed with, so anything spider is wonderful!

Thanks for the kitten mitten compliments! :D I have to say I'm glad I gave them to the cutie niece on the same day I finished it or my head would have exploded from the cuteness.

And I posted the pattern today! Yay!

Hope I wrote it out in a comprehensible way. Had a little trouble describing how I did the whiskers.
