let's hear it for old flames

This weekend I found myself considering frogging my 2/3 completed forecast to turn the beaverslide into a 28Thirty.

let's hear it for old flames

But as soon as I pulled her out of her ziploc I remembered, hey, that color's not toxic, it's punchy! And hey, that Beaverslide's not rough, it's rustic! And hey, you could have an FO sweater with only about a week's worth of work! oh really? SOLD. I have now finished the body and am about halfway done with one sleeve.

Here's a little forecast retrospective.

And here are a few other random shots from the past week or so:

You should be having your photos on overstock.com (rake in the extra cash)

Absolutely great collage of pics. The tulips are so 'springy'. I am glad you did not frog the sweater because the color is seriously great.

I had completely forgotten about Forecast! That yarn and that pattern make good partners :)

Not only is that color not toxic, it's all over the spring fashions! (I may even have recently bought a dress in that color. It was on sale. And I was feeling kind of fixated on intense greens after seeing that dress in Atonement.) I say hooray for the revival of Forecast, and also for tasty salads and cheese casseroles.

I haven't posted on your blog before even though I've lurked here (sounds a bit too scary to say that)...

I can't convey how many times I've frogged a knitting project on a whim only to regret it later----I'm glad you found a sensibility to finish up your project and enjoy it! I need to take notes...

Glad you got back together with that Forecast - love the colourway

Hooray for rediscovering old projects and liking what you find! I have some socks that are in that category, not as exciting as a sweater admittedly...

Hooray for ressurected WIPs! I have a Central Park Hoodie doing pretty much the same thing your Forecast has been doing... I should really turn back to it one of these days. Your photos look amazing!

I love the color. I can't wait to see it finished. I always contemplate knitting forcast but for some reason though as beautiful as it looks on other people, I don't think it's my style. Maybe some day that will change. :)

Oh, that 29thirty is totally you. Go for it!

They do say that absence makes the heart grow fonder.

I'm going to chime in with everyone else and say that I really like your forecast-in-prog and you should totally finish it.
The Mexican lasagna reminds me of my childhood. I actually concocted an almost identical recipe when I was learning to cook in 7th grade! Mmmmm.

Yay! Forecast calls for spring with a touch of brilliant teal. I love this pattern. Go for it!
