(1) Secret projects are afoot. If you're on Ravelry, you can read about one of them here, because surely the recipient is not on Ravelry (I hope!). And excuse the crappy cell phone photos - I've been working weekends again.
(2) I've also completed one new, improved Herringbone Mitten. The other is so close, yet so far. See #1.
(3) Ha. Stealing food out of the work fridge. It never stops being funny. Posting that made me feel a little like Dilbert.
* excuse the profanity. It's satire.

Posted by: Preita at January 15, 2008 12:54 PMLove that fridge shot, don't love that you're tied to your desk so much!
Posted by: schrodinger at January 16, 2008 1:12 PMThe secret project on ravelry sure is cute. And you've already gotten so far on it. I remember your picking out the colors for it (nice, sophisticated choice by the way)... re: work fridge note. there's a hilarious site called passiveaggressivenotes.com. It gets silly at times, but it's fun in small doses...
Posted by: connie at January 16, 2008 11:54 PMFu*k that fu*ker who stole your wrap! The nerve...
Hey, I know it's been a while since you talked about brussels sprouts, but anyway - have you seen Orangette's cream-braised ones? Delish.
Posted by: Emily S. at January 17, 2008 9:09 PMHa! That note is hilarious! Have you seen passiveaggressivenotes.com? it
is a collection of stuff like that. Also makes me laugh.
I see on your sidebar thing that you are considering going to Turkey. if that's the case, OMG do it. it's so awesome. :D
Posted by: Lorelei at January 21, 2008 2:05 AMLOVE your secret project - I hope there's a chance you'll share the makings when you're done.
Posted by: Sara at January 21, 2008 3:39 AMYay, I'm so glad to see your secret project--that is gonna be so cute.
And the work fridge--priceless.
Oh, late to the party, but this is so worth it: last year two paralegals in a big firm in my city were fired. One sent an e-mail to the entire office about her lunch being repeatedly stolen out of the fridge, and another sent a 'reply all' message making some snide remarks about it. Unfortunately one of the lawyers thought it was a little bit funny, and sent it to people outside the office, from whence it spread like wildfire through legal offices across the city... and for the apparent damage done to the firm's rep, the two paralegals were fired (nothing happened to the lawyer...)
Moral? I'm not sure. But jokes about lawyers stealing lunch out of the fridge are still funny.
