Mail's here!
What does that say?? Look closer!

Thanks, everybody, for your supportive messages this summer. Now I really DON'T have to set foot in the Javits Center, ever again, if I don't want to!
And in knitting news, my niece's sweater is coming along...

I'm still not 100% sure about the proper proportions for a kid-sweater. With a little luck, she'll look neither slumpfy or streetwalkery in the end! Soon I'll be on to the yoke, and need to get busy on charting out a pattern.
Posted by jess at November 18, 2006 10:33 AM | TrackBackyahooooooo! Sounds like a good reason to celebrate!

Hello,
I see you've already had 63 comments so you probably won't even read this, but I used to be a lawyer (before I became a Mum) so I send you my congratulations and very best wishes for your career! I bet you will never be involved in a prospective action of passing off concerning the Loch Ness monster, as I was. That's the delights of the Scottish legal system for you!
WAHOO!!! Congratulations...I know who to go to now when I need legal advice :)
(not related to posting translations to french patterns!)

Posted by: Lora at November 20, 2006 7:34 AMCongratulations! With news that exciting, you'd think they'd send you a certificate or something with big fancy lettering. That little line of black type seems somewhat anticlimactic, don't you think?

Back in 1976 when I passed the bar I only knit in private and I stopped knitting when I started practicing law. I just didn't have the time. and, women's lib was new and liberated female lawyers didn't do that sort of women's work stuff......I'm so glad that we've made progress as a society so that female lawyers can knit in public!!

Posted by: Loanne at December 25, 2006 12:45 AMEvery body remembers that men's life seems to be expensive, however some people require money for various stuff and not every person earns big sums cash. Therefore to receive quick mortgage loans or just commercial loan will be good way out.
