In preparation for the arrival of our new mattress, we decided to toss the old one a few days early to spackle and paint the bedroom. No big changes, just a subtle, light taupe-ish hue on the walls, which were formerly painted in the stark-white flatter-than-flat paint that has covered our whole place since we moved here. That, and a major cleanup of the dingy windows and doors. Considering we'd never done this before, and we weren't looking for perfection, we're pleased. Especially since there were no major fights or injuries. That was really our standard.

The best shot I could get of the finished surface

Oh, and did I mention the mattress came? Moses couldn't be pleaseder.
Moses looks like he's been lured into a semi-coma by your new mattress. If it has cat approval it's probably good. :)

I'm tryig to get motivated for that. It's not really working. Bleh. Glad you finally found a new Mattress!
Oooh glad to hear your mattress arrived.
Doesn't it feel nice and fresh in there with the new paint?
I like the smell (once it has faded a little) of a freshly painted room. So clean.
Enjoy!
Nice to hear there were no fights or injuries - that is always a good baseline!
