I mentioned a coupla weeks ago I was aiming to re-expand my internet travels beyond the world of knit and purl, and many of you suggested great links! I've been meaning to compile a list of your favorite haunts, and this is not it, but I just thought I'd share a few cool snips of internet with you that are not strictly knitterly:

• "The Everyday Happenings of Weebl" - perplexing, but oh so hilarious. Somehow. And also tangentially about pie. This one is the trailer for some hilarious nonsense called "Crouching Behindya Hidden Well." [via Need Coffee]
  
• Have you seen this live-action version of the Simpsons opening? Freaky!
  
• Make Blog - like ReadyMade, 'cept more eclectic and a blog.
  
• Some folks at The Boston Globe are finally beginning to question the "broken windows" theory of crime reduction... seems well worth thinking critically about, eh? (here's Bill Bratton's response) [via Arts & Letters Daily]
  
• Two mp3 blogs I've been digging as I attempt to restock my music collection with shoegazers and other indie favorites: Ear Farm and I Guess I'm Floating along with standby Fluxblog.
  
• Speaking of Fluxblog, I'm looking for a track I downloaded from there ages ago, that left when my iPod done R-U-N-N O-F-T, that I can't locate anywhere legally or otherwise. It's Sandra Lou's absurdly poppy cover of the 80s French pop hit "Le Banana Split." Does anyone out there have it?
  

Oh, and also while we're on random crap, C. and I splurged on (second to last row) tickets to see The Threepenny Opera on Broadway! We've never bought tickets before previews before, but with Alan Cumming, Cindy Lauper, and Bertolt Brecht all at work together, it's gotta be hott (not to mention I am, seriously, a bit of a Kurt Weill fan)
