The yarn for Jolt's wedding shawl, aka Birch, has arrived from across the pond! As you can see we went with "something blue." I'm so pleased with the delicacy of this color. The shade reminds me very much of Wedgewood porcelain.

YAY! I'm so honored you're doing this for me.
Posted by: Jolt at January 10, 2006 2:48 PMOooh, KSH... And such a pretty blue too!
I have a question not related to this post: do you plan to block your Lady Eleanor? I love the texture on both the RS and the WS, and think that blocking would flatten it. (I'm 7 balls into mine).

Posted by: j a r e d at January 11, 2006 11:05 AMFirst, I just have to say how much I love love love KSH. It took a while for me to get used to it and get it on the proper needles, but now I can't stay away from the stuff. And, although I didn't vote for the blue in your poll, I think it will be lovely for a wedding Birch. Looking forward to seeing your progress. Jolt, you are one lucky gal! ;) Finally, Colleen, "Wedgwoodian"!!! That cracked me up - thanks.
Posted by: julia at January 11, 2006 11:44 AMThe yarn is gorgeous. And I just want to say I think you made 100% the right decision to go with blue -- I think it will look fantastic on her, in addition to being the requisite "something blue."
Happy Wedding Jolt!
I love KSH so much, and that is a v v pretty colour :) The Birch will be gorgeous.
