After this round of stash assessment, I've realized I need to buy less multicolored yarn. More than any other type of yarn, multicolors linger in my stash. Hand-dyed multis are so beautiful, but the fact is there are relatively few patterns that show off hand dyes to their greatest advantage in the amounts I have. Solids are really a smarter investment.

If you see any unallocated yarn in my stash you're in love with, please make me an offer I can't refuse.

Oh, and I'm about to put some yarn up for sale or trade formally, so watch this space... Actually some intererst has already been shown on Flickr, so if you think you're interested visit my Flickr photostream and click around to see what's for sale or trade. Here's what's lined up in the yarny orphanage:

Do you have enough of the silk merino left to make pulse warmers? I think they'd be lovely and would make a great gift.

Wow, beautiful yarns. I agree with you about the multi, hard to resist because it's just so much fun to spin and dye, but maybe not the most versatile of yarns unless you are really into strip knitting and swatching and designing on the fly. And most people aren't. I'd like to think I am, but really, give me a dead easy mindless knit any day over one that means I have to lug around notebooks and stitch encyclopedias and sheafs of photocopies (not well organised, me).

Anyway, I just clicked your comments to say, I dig the cool boxes and popups on your flickr pics, I think I will totally have to yoink that idea for my upcoming stash flash.
