Colchique Progress and Away

Colchique In Progress - Back

Here's a first progress shot of the back of Colchique.

We'll be in the Adirondacks this weekend, so no Internet for a few days. I'm in a foul mood right now, mostly frustration about girl-health-type-things. It's nothing serious. I'm just having a really, really shitty time with a new birth control pill I really didn't want to switch to and frustrated with NYU's medical care and insurance and the doctor I have who doesn't listen or care. There's nothing better than heading off on vacation when you're angry, depressed, frustrated, stressed out about something (your body) that is impossible to leave behind when you go. Not to mention when the thing that you are depressed about is the thing that is, in part, causing the depression in the first place by taking you on some wild hormonal psychological and physical joyride you didn't volunteer for. I could just spit.

Catch you next week, everybody.

Eek -- on the girl-health stuff. Email me offline if you'd like the name of a gyn on 28/Madison. Colquiche looks wonderful!

Colchique is beautiful - I can't wait to see how it looks when you finish! I stumbled on your blog looking for pictures of the ballet pullover and I like the way yours turned out - so thanks for the inspiration. And, on girl-health misery - maybe you've already thought of this, but when I was a grad student and getting crappy health care, and even after when I was employed but stuck waiting for health insurance to kick in, I always found great people at Planned Parenthood - and I could always afford it on a student budget. Good luck!

Your progress looks great! I'm going to get cracking on some translation this weekend.

Meanwhile, I soooo relate to the BCP madness. I particularly remember going on Ortho-tri-cyclen for the first time - I was ill prepared to feel tempted to jump off a bridge. It was... that... bad. BUT I will say that one day, after a few weeks, the feeling just lifts. Hoping it will for you too... Hope you have fun in the mtns - shaping up to be a bee-yoo-tiful weekend.

I'm sorry about your girl-health stuff - I've had a long history of those types of issues, including pcos and the medical/insurance co issues are such a pain in the butt...

On a happy note, the colchique is BEAUTIFUL!!!!!! Great job!

I can SOOOO relate - except I am blessed with the greatest Dr - she is not only my PCP but she also is my GYN, and she listens! She didnt give up on me until we finally found something that didn't mess with my emotions, and almost worse, make my boobs ache and need their own zip code! I doubt you would want to trek to LI (Jericho to be exact) where her office is, but if you wanted to give her a shot, I am SURE you would adore her!

Hope the vacation helps mellow you out some, and that you end up having a FAB trip =) And of course, it goes with out saying colchique is AWESOME!

hey jess... sorry you couldn't figure out a way to vacation sans corps, but i hope it was rejuvenating nonetheless...

colchique is lovely lovely... (peggy, i believe it's navy, not black) and i ency you your motivation to knit it in a foreign language!

when you get home snuggle up with catty and moses, and enjoy the wholesale stuff at school products for me!

I don't know if this is the one you're trying, but one of my friends went on that Yasmine (sp?) BCP and said it didn't affect her at all. She's pretty moody normally, so I took that as a good sign.

Feel better- hope you had a good weekend.

You're my idol, I love how you spread the Colchique over the world! As soon as I'm done with all my other stuff in progress I will begin knitting my own Colchique. You're such an inspiration!

Some time before, I really needed to buy a building for my corporation but I did not earn enough money and couldn't buy anything. Thank heaven my sister proposed to try to take the loan at creditors. So, I acted so and was happy with my term loan.

Designer jeans are very popular and you see many celebrities wearing them. However,

they can be quite expensive. Because of this, a lot of people look for wholesale

designer jeans that they can buy at discounted prices.
