Ballet Pullover: Half and Half

So here we have the hybrid beast: the Ballet Pullover in progress, with one partially completed long sleeve and one short. (As for the body, I actually had enough yarn to make a second one in the smaller size, and it fits much better)

I think short sleeves suit the pattern slightly better, which is probably why Teva put the short sleeve version in her book. But winter's coming and I don't see getting much use out of the short sleeve version until spring. Here's the comparison:

(yes, I still must take mirror shots, even when my boyfriend is in the room)

I suppose I'll finish the first sleeve then make a final decision.

That looks great on you so far! You know what? I think I like the 3/4 sleeve look! You did such a great job :)

i like the 3/4 sleeve too!

I really like the 3/4 inch sleeves best. I think it would be the most versatile, too.

I have to agree with the others that the 3/4 sleeve looks great and will be more useful for fall and winter. The sweater fits you beautifully!

The 3/4 sleeve is great! Can you make one of each? I like both options. I'm working on the short-sleeved version from the book at the moment.

I definitely love the top with the 3/4 length sleeve. They aren't really any less warm in the winter than long sleeves(and they are a good reason to make yourself some wristwarmers).

I like both sleeves! The short sleeves are more kicky and the long sleeves give an overall feeling of more "body" to the piece. And more versatile also. Keep the 3/4 sleeves now and make another with cap sleeves for the spring! In a springy color.

While both sleeve lengths are nice, I have to say that I prefer the 3/4 length one.
