To quickly update you on the knitting front, I received my order from Mystical Creation Yarns. That's some lovely stuff! Only one more component before beginning Clapotis... the yarn ball winder I just bought with my 50% off coupon from JoAnn! No way am I winding 600+ yards of yarn by hand, and it's so lovely that I'm afraid to get it tangled up in my hand mixer.

I've finished one waving lace sock above the heel. There are mistakes aplenty, but the pattern is quite forgiving. And although I know I'm not supposed to use multi-colored yarn for lace, I'm loving the Koigu, as usual!

Thank you to everyone who has offered a trade! I'm going through the responses, but any way you slice it I'll have a nice new addition to the old knitting library.

Wow that is so gorgeous. Charlotte's Web in Koigu is so gorgeous, I wouldn't worry about using multi-colored yarn for lace.

my husband saw me winding up some yarn with my ball winder (also purchased with a 50% off coupon from joann's) and offered to attach a motor to so i wouldn't have to turn the crank.

i'll let you know if it works out. haha that hand mixer thingy is funny by the way.

Love the yarn, I just got some of the superwash merino from Mystical Creations. It's really lovely stuff! I'm thinking about getting some of the silk/merino eventually too, now I just have to decide on a colorway...

Glad to see the yarn arrived. The top one looks like the same colourway that I got...what is it? I am so jonesing to try koigu...there's a LYS in Atlanta that carries it so we will check it out when we head on up to NC in 2 weeks. I used hubby to wind that hank during the pre-lim to the Belmont. ENJOY your new stash addition!

Love the look of your yarn! What fiber is it? I'm buying alot from them soon, merino fingering weight for socks, cotton for another project, and some of the new merino. I can't wait to get it! Does the yarn have a good feel to it? I can't wait to see how it knits up in your Clapotis!
