THANK YOU, C., for a wonderful weekend. For those of you who couldn't make it on our romantic vacation in Cape May, NJ, here are a few photos.
Extreme close-up of C. on the Cape May Trolley

C. contemplating the meaning of life at the beach

About to make mincemeat out of that ski SKEE ball

What a shot!

I take aim at the ski SKEE ball machine... we earned 6 whole tickets! What the hell is wrong with my hair? I don't normally sport a tail.

My timer-photo ambush of Chris on the beach as we walked, late, to the Cape May Jazz festival. Note my pleased expression at having forced him to pose with me.
What a fun, fun time you had. The beach with your hunny sounds so lovely. And are you super tiny or is he a giant? :) That's such a cute photo of the two of you.
Posted by: Karma at April 20, 2005 12:18 AMYou had good weather! Lucky you!
Posted by: Mary Beth at April 20, 2005 7:38 AMI see C is sporting a rather rugged look. Glad you had fun. You do look very pleased with yourself in that last shot.
Posted by: Jolt at April 20, 2005 8:20 AMYes, the weather was sunny if incredibly cold and windy the first two days. We couldn't have asked for a better day on Sunday though.
Karma, it's a little of both, but it's mostly me being short. i'm 5'1" and there's about a foot between us!
Posted by: jess at April 20, 2005 8:24 AMwhat is is with tiny girls and very large significant others? i've got the same thing going on with my husband. i love it, you two are adorable. (and ski ball rocks!)
Posted by: semaphoria at April 20, 2005 12:24 PMGlad that you guys enjoyed yourselves! Nice pics; nice beach!
Posted by: la chica alta at April 20, 2005 2:58 PMGreat pics! Looks like you guys had quite a lovely down in Cape May.
And your beau is a good sport. B refuses to pose for the camera in fear that I will post pics of him on my blog. . .which is true, of course. . .but still. . .he doesn't need to know that.
;)
Posted by: Sandra at April 20, 2005 3:27 PMHi Jess,
Just found your site (honestly, I can't even remember now how I got here! Just browsing blogs while I really should be working). Am enjoying browsing through your knit projects, as well as looking at the great recipes you have listed. And I love your French Market bag... great colors!
Take care,
Sam
Posted by: Samantha at April 20, 2005 5:15 PMAww, cute! At best I get candids out of J. If he has to pose, there's either a tongue sticking out or a couple of rolled eyes at best. Men! :)
Posted by: kristiface at April 21, 2005 11:55 AMYou two are the cutest pair around! I love that last pic, fored posing or not!
