KnitPicks Summer Yarn Update

After reading in Knitters Review that KnitPicks would at some point be coming out with a summer fiber collection, including cottons, etc., I thought I'd e-mail them to find out more deets. Here's the response:

Dear Jessica,

The May 2005 catalog will feature our Summer line which will have cotton,
cotton blends and other summer fibers. It will also feature eyelash and
other scarf style yarns. We are very excited about our new line and hope
that you will be too.

Happy Knitting!

So that's the scoop, peeps. Keep your eyes peeled in May for new, affordable fabulosity from KnitPicks!

Oh, and there was one more unrelated thing I wanted to tell you. I just tried Tea Spot, the new tea cafe across from NYU Law School on MacDougal between W3rd and W4th, and I love it! They offer a great selection of high-quality teas, a nice atmosphere, free wireless, and lots of space. They've even got a patio out back for summer. Thing is, they're really, really quiet, and I'm hoping they stay in business, so check it out if you're in the nabe, and spend some $$.

Thanks for the investigative reporting. I am excited about the cotton and blends. Not so much the eyelash yarns.

Thanks a lot for the info on KnitPicks... definitely something to look forward to... I am with the other Lauren though, more eyelash? I guess it is what sells these days... *sigh*

yeah, i'm less than thrilled about knitpicks adding more novelty yarns to the world, too. i am a card-carrying member of knitters against fun fur, after all...

;)

Thanks for the tipoff on Tea Spot!
Would they mind some KIP ya think?

i'm so bad with knitters' acronyms, but i am assuming "KIP" is something like "knitting in progress"? if that's it, i'm sure they'd love it. i'm thinking about taking our nyu law knitting group there myself.

of course, if "kip" carries some more obscure and offensive meaning, i can't endorse it ;).

Hey there --- I just linked on a recent blog to a web page that lists all the yarns, with the gauge/fiber contents, but no prices or yardages yet, that they will be coming out with this summer. Check it out! (You have to be truly knitpicks obsessed to do this, but seeing as how you just wrote them a letter, you might be of a like personality to mine!)

I purchased some jump rings(markers) 9mm.
# at top of label on pkg-C80086
# at bottom of label 6C8311
They are gold colored metal markers. There are supposed to be 100 in pkg. There were only 98. Would you please send me the 2 missing rings?
