BFF

I just cast on for a Best Friend Doll, to be donated to the NYU Public Interest Auction next week. I found a few more examples for inspiration...

Corrina - This one, by Poor Miss Finch, is probably my favorite.

L'il Jen - strangely lifelike

Eva - this one has a bigger wardrobe than I do!

I love the dolls you posted links to, especialy Li'l Jen! My girls would love these! I am anxiously awaiting a beginner's knitting book so I can begin my knitting journey... (It should arrive any day now courtesy of Amazon.. but after seeing cute projects like your sweater and dolls, it can't arrive soon enuff!) I am inspired by your site, and I wanted to let you know I appreciate all of your pix and recommendations regarding resources and materials. Thanks, Jess! Can't wait to see pix of your BFF!

what a great idea for auction items! The school my daughter goes to and I teach at parttime has a silent auction every june. I think the dolls will be some great littler items that the kids would enjoy. Last year I did oodles of felted bags and some sweaters.

Have you seen the topsy-turvey doll in one of the Fall issues of IK? (2001 maybe?) It's really sweet.

Another idea that just popped into my head is the knitted farmyard- cute little book that I found on ebay. Given our community as a whole the farm one would be a real hit!

Not to mention these little projects are a great way of using up little bits of yarn!

Some time before, I really needed to buy a house for my business but I did not earn enough money and could not buy anything. Thank goodness my dude adviced to try to take the loan from banks. Thus, I did so and was satisfied with my financial loan.
