For the insatiably curious, here's an update on my boot dilemma of a couple of weeks ago, about which many of you so stylishly weighed in. So I'll admit now the boot thing was a whim in the face of a coming snowstorm. I ended up ordering the Bear, and they came, and while they were both cool and badass, I felt, wearing them... sort of... sort of like a person driving a Ford Expedition (with cattle guards) in Manhattan. Clearly they were way, way more than a New Yorker really needs in the snow. So naturally, as an alternative, I ended up exchanging them for the coolest sneaks, in my opinion, ever!

Roos! Thanks to a hot tip from Missa, I got them on sale at Zappos.com for only $24! It was a tough call between these and the pink ones, so in the end I just went for the ones that would be most visible from, say, one or two miles away.

Those sneakers are indeed the coolest thing ever! I think my favorite part about them is that little zipper. And I personally like the orange better than the pink.

Oh my God, they still make Roos?!!! I want them. I had the most kicking pair in third grade: they were purple and shiny and faded into pink. They rocked.

AH! I got the pink ones about 3 weeks ago for $25 in a store...they now look to be about 3 years old thanks to the salt and snirt (snow and dirt) here in MN.
I want to find some lunch tickets to put in the side pocket...then forget about for 10 years... just like my old ones.......
