Yarn Purchases & Plans
This weekend was a big one for buying yarn and other knitting thangs, it seems. Here's what's in the haul:
- Peruvian Collection Highland Wool, assorted colors, from the ever-thrifty elann. I'm using this to make dolls for my neice from the "Best Friend Dolls" pattern in the Summer 2002 Interweave Knits. James made a cute one - Eileen.
- Peruvian Collection Pure Alpaca, assorted colors, also from elann. Same project.
- Peruvian Collection Highland Wool, 2 skeins in Spiced Wine. For the legwarmers from Last Minute Knitted Gifts.
- Rowan Kidsilk Haze, 1 skein, Candy Girl, also for the legwarmers. From a tremendous sale on ebay! Janette's Rare Yarns, the same seller from whom I bought the Cash Iroha for the hourglass sweater, is offering skeins of Kidsilk Haze for $9 with free shipping... get 'em while they're hot!
- Jo Sharp DK Wool, Heath, 3 skeins, from elann. For a felted hot water bottle cover, the pattern for which I have not yet chosen. Any suggestions?
- Clover 12" US8 circular needles. So tiny! So cute! So Japanese! For legwarmers and hourglass sweater.
