I actually think they're less chunky looking than the bear boots, and I really like the way the shoe part looks... not to mention the fact that you can tighten the boots around your calf to keep snow out!

just kidding! i think i like the bears better, too, although the ever-prudent james has some good points about snowlion. the new wrinkle is that the snowlions can be had for $40 at campmor. like you, i have expensive taste, it seems. so what to do, what to do. (probably splurge)

If forced to choose,the Bear is it. However, I am partial to the Merrill Primo Chill, which you can see on link below. They don't have quite the clodhopper charm of the Sorrels, but I love 'em so much I bought a pair for my daughter and 2 of my galpals have also gotten 'em. Then I bought a pair of the clog version. They feel-so-good inside.
Can't beat that price on the Bears, tho......
