Amen to that!!

really, props, MN. i never doubted you for a second.

i am trying so desperately to stay positive (i.e. not despondent, or bewildered, or disappointed, or alienated), and obama and salazar are helping a little.

i wish i were smart enough, or imaginative enough, or open minded enough, to understand why so many people seemingly voted on "moral" issues like gay marriage, or on the personalities of the candidates, when this nation is facing so many substantive challenges at home and in the world. maybe the dems should learn from bush that, if you toss the populace bones on moral issues that appeal to our sense of drama but really don't impact most people, you can push whatever substantive policies you want and no one will pay any attention. maybe then, the dems would finally convince everyone that they "stand for something."

Obama is our shining light in this dark week! Yay for him!!
