Vintage Portrait Collection

After many months of thinking about it, this weekend I started my vintage portrait collection with my first purchase, a gilt-framed portrait of a young girl purchased for $5 at the PS 321 market. She looks about 10, painted in the '60s, and she was one of several portraits that all looked like they were of members of the same family. I wish I had my camera - she deserves to be posted! I won't put her up until I have a few others, but I'm looking forward to my wall of strangers.

Eek! I started my collection nearly two years ago with that pic I got at the thrift of that 40-something lady... Remember her? I've made little progress since but hope your collection comes along better than mine has. And, well, if you're up for it, you're welcome to add her to your stash next time you're in town. Sorry for posting so infrequently. It's Tate's wedding this weekend, but I promise to post more regularly after Sunday and the rest of the madness has past! :)
