On our walk home from dinner at Sarah's tonight, we passed the new Superhero Supply Co. on Fifth Avenue. Roughly across from the Chipshop, it had McSweeney's written all over it, but we had to investigate more closely. IT IS SO COOL! From "sidekick placement services" to custom ordered alter-egos, this fully-stocked storefront has it all, and perfectly disguises what googling reveals as its secret - it's 826 NYC, a tutoring center for kids, just like its sister in San Francisco, Dave Eggers' 826 Valencia, which doubles as a pirate-goods shop (Aarrrr!
