The Indiana Parole Board voted 5-0 to recommend Governor Kernan grant clemency to Darnell Williams. It's incredible - the first time the IPB has recommended clemency since the death penalty was reinstated - the closest they've come is 1 for and 4 against. This process has been harrowing for us students. I can't even imagine what it's been like for Juliet, Darnell's attorney, who has represented him for 12 years.
