Extra-Special Echinacea Plants

orange coneflowerBlood orange coneflowers? Could it be the best news of the season for US gardners in Zones 4 - 9? I do believe so!

Created by botanist Jim Ault, PhD (of the Chicago Botanic Garden) after seven years of development, these breakthrough blossoms—sure to be making a splashing debut in gardens across the country—are a hybrid of two strains of the always popular purple coneflower. Party bonus factor: this new plant is drought resistant!

Break out the hoe, yo.
