It's mid-summer and to stave off that
feeling of 'unproductiveness' that comes with not having a job, I
decided to teach myself to use my sewing machine. Something
small, useful, and devoid of sizing concerns was in order, and I
found a basic pattern at Sew Wrong for making a wee bag - perfect
for makeup and other odds and ends, even as a double for a wallet. The
zipper was tricky, but About.com has a great project that includes
clear zipper instructions. After about four tries, I found a
little success with the zippers. None looks perfect, but hey,
what's handmade for if not a little imperfection? |
